Responsibilities of Associate/Assistant Professor

1. Teach courses in computer science, including developing, organizing, and leading lectures and labs.

2. Supervise students in their academic and research endeavors.

3. Participate in the development and implementation of departmental curriculum and research initiatives.

4. Contribute to the academic life of the department and university, including attending departmental meetings, and participating in faculty committees, faculty research, and student mentoring.

5. Serve on dissertation and thesis committees and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

6. Stay current with relevant research and technology in the field.

7. Prepare and submit grant proposals and manage existing grants.

8. Publish research findings in scholarly publications.

9. Participate in professional meetings and conferences.

10. Provide service to the university, community, and profession.
