Responsibilities of Automation Engineer

• Design, develop and implement automation processes and control systems
• Monitor and maintain automated systems and processes
• Troubleshoot and debug automation and control systems
• Provide technical support for automation and control systems
• Prepare test plans and conduct tests on automation and control systems
• Analyze data and develop reports
• Develop and maintain user documentation
• Assist in the development of safety systems
• Participate in the design, installation and commissioning of automation systems
• Collaborate with other engineers to optimize processes

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, 1-4 years of experience in automation and control systems, and working knowledge of programming languages such as C/ C++, Python, Java and VB.

They should also have experience with PLC and HMI programming, knowledge of robotics and automation systems, the ability to troubleshoot and debug automation systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
