Responsibilities of Senior Software Engineer

1. Backend Development: Develop and maintain APIs, server-side applications, and middleware using modern programming languages such as C# or Java. Ensure high-quality code and follow coding best practices. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

2. Database Management: Work with databases such as SQL Server or Oracle to design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable database solutions. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.

3. Agile Methodology: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including planning, daily scrums, demos, and retrospectives. Collaborate with team members to understand requirements, raise queries for clarifications, and deliver tasks on time. Use version/source control, conduct code reviews, and perform unit and developer testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.

4. Communication: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Communicate effectively with North American/European clients during flexible working hours. Provide regular updates on project status, address queries and concerns, and maintain a professional and proactive approach in all communication.

5. Technical Mentoring: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers. Share knowledge and best practices, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to help junior team members improve their skills and deliver high-quality code.

6. Problem-solving: Analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot and debug applications, and provide timely resolutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery.

7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides, to ensure the knowledge base is updated and accessible to team members and stakeholders.

8. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to backend development, databases, Agile methodologies, and communication. Continuously enhance technical and soft skills through training, certifications, and professional development opportunities.
