Recently Uttarakhand government has announced employment cum skill development allowance for all educated unemployed persons. Notice for this has been released on 16th October 2012. According to this new allowance scheme all the unemployed people who has passed 12th standard are eligible for this allowance. This scheme is applicable for whole Uttarakhand and is applicable from 9th November 2012.

As per rules of this scheme, the unemployed person should fulfill the below condition, to be eligible for this allowance.

1. Should have passed at least 12th standard.
2. Should have not joined any Government, semi-government or private sector job.
3. Must be registered with any Employment exchange in Uttarakhand.
4. Should be between 25 to 35 years of Age as per high school certificate.
5. Should be Domicile of Uttarakhand.
6. Total income of family of unemployed person claiming allowance should not be more than Rs.1,50,000 (One Lakh Fifty Thousand).
7. Should have completed 4 years of registration in employment exchange including renewal.
8. This allowance is applicable only to 1 person in family, if there are two unemployed person in family then person having more age will be given preference.
9. Allowance is only for 2 years. In between if person gets job, then this allowance will be void.
10. Parents should not be government employee.

Money allotted for Employment Cum Skill Development Allowance Scheme

Money allotted to unemployed people as per this Employment cum skill development scheme depends upon the education of that person. Below is the allowance structure.

i) 12th Pass or equivalent: Rs.500/month
ii) Graduate or equivalent: Rs.750/month
iii) Post Graduate or equivalent: Rs.1000/month

Government has laid some of the very hard to follow rules for this policy/scheme and with very less amount of money :) But something is always better then nothing.
